If you’re in New York this weekend and looking for some awesome Memorial Day plans, then you have got to check out Brewers PicNYC.
Created by my good pal Jimmy Carbone, of famed East Village brewpub Jimmy’s No. 43 and the man behind last summer’s epic Pig Island and a co-host of last year’s Meatopia (click through for our episode on Meatopia and brewing beer with our beloved Sixpoint Craft Ales), Brewers PicNYC is going to be a fun, affordable BBQ party on beautiful Governor’s Island.
The party starts on Sunday at noon with free round-trip ferries to the Island from both Manhattan and Brooklyn, and continues on Monday. You can buy tickets for as little as $15; beer and food (see the vendor lists below) are sold a la carte or are included in various ticket packages. Bonus: a portion of the proceeds goes to Added Value Farms, a sustainable farm on Governor’s Island.
We’ll be stuffing our faces for America all day on Monday, so if you come to the Brewers PicNYC (and you seriously should) make sure you say hi to us. Because we love you, that’s why!
